DETROIT -- Ford Field has been the Buffalo Bills’ home away from home two times in the past five days.

Last week, Buffalo’s home matchup against the Cleveland Browns was moved to Ford Field after six feet of snow piled up in Orchard Park. Buffalo won the game 31-23 after a late game surge from the Browns that made the game closer than it appeared.

Just days after the victory over Cleveland, Buffalo was back at Ford Field. This time, the Bills were the away team, but the outcome was still the same. In a back and forth matchup, the Bills were able to kick a game-winning field late to defeat the Lions 28-25.

In doing so, Buffalo won back-to-back games at Ford Field. It was the first time a team has been able to accomplish this feat in back-to-back weeks since the Detroit Lions were able to do so in 2016.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Detroit has not pulled off back-to-back wins at Ford Field in consecutive weeks since the 2016 season. That season, Detroit defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11 and the Minnesota Vikings in a Thanksgiving Day matchup in Week 12.

The Lions have one more chance to accomplish this feat in 2022. Ironically enough, the team will host the Jacksonville Jaguars next week and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14, the same two teams that they defeated in back-to-back weeks back in 2016 at Ford Field.
