Man reportedly shot on Syracuse’s Northside, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. -- A man was reportedly shot on Syracuse’s Northside Tuesday morning, police said.

Around 11:41 a.m., a 911 caller reported hearing at least one gunshot on Highland Street, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatchers.

When police arrived in the area, they found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound on the right arm near the intersection of Highland Street and Graves Street, Syracuse police spokesperson Lt. Matthew Malinowski confirmed.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene around 11:46 a.m. after police confirmed someone was injured, according to dispatches.

By 12:10 p.m., Only one patrol car with two officers, a crime scene investigation van and one detective remained at the scene.
