Stop me if you’ve heard this before...
Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ) want to reunite. Just months after winning the Super Bowl together with the Los Angeles Rams, the Buffalo Bills pass rusher and free agent wide receiver have floated the idea of becoming teammates multiple times this offseason on social media.
Will it happen? Time will tell, but there is plenty of evidence that both players want to run it back in Buffalo.
The first instance of OBJ mentioning the idea of joining the Bills came as a result of a fake Instagram account that reported the receiver was joining Buffalo in their quest for a Lombardi. Beckham Jr. joked that he woke up wondering how much he signed for while sending Von Miller a message.
“I woke up and askkk how much did we sign for,” Beckham Jr. tweeted. “Von Miller what up teammate!!!!”
It seemed like a playful comment, but Beckham Jr.’s interest in Buffalo sounded legitimate after Hall of Fame receiver Andre Reed mentioned an “interesting convo” with the receiver.
According to Reed, OBJ and Von Miller were ready to “run it back” in Buffalo.
“How would OBJ look in Red,White and Blue? Him and Von runnin it back in Buffalo,” said Reed. “Lets just say we had good convo last night in Atlantic City.”
The interest still seemed a little one-sided as Von Miller had not said anything about OBJ joining him in Buffalo. That changed on Monday, however.
After Von Miller posted a video on Instagram with the caption, “U KNO IM LIT,” Beckham Jr. responded directly to his former teammate and made his interest in the Bills clear. He asked Miller what the locker next to his looked like in Buffalo.
“U beeeen litttt!!!!,” OBJ wrote. “Von Miller what’s the locker next to u loook like!!!??”
Miller didn’t let him publicly know what the locker next to him looked like, but he did make it clear that he wanted to get the band back together. In an Instagram story, Miller shared a photoshop of OBJ in a Bills uniform. Miller’s caption?
“Let’s chase this ring... AGAIN.”
The will they-won’t they reunite are reaching Ross and Rachel levels here in Western New York. If those Friends can get back together, why can’t Von and OBJ?
