Syracuse, N.Y. — He comes back to Syracuse, to Bishop Ludden, to all the people who mean so much to him here.

Mika Adams-Woods, now a Cincinnati senior point guard, was born in Syracuse and raised by his grandmother, Victoria Woods, and his mom, Porsche Woods. His nickname, “Shooey,” comes from his ability to dribble the ball on a shoestring, a skill Adams-Woods has displayed for as long as his basketball people have known him.
