Get your virtual shopping carts ready, the MacKenzie Childs Barn Sale is coming back this month.

Once held in the Upstate New York town of Aurora, MacKenzie-Childs fans will have to leave their Courtly Check inspired wardrobe in their closets for the third year in a row. Posted to their website and social media pages today, the brand announced their biggest sale event is once again going virtual.

This year’s Barn Sale event will run online only from July 27-31.

Their website details the popular sale’s roots from a single tent in 1996 to thousands of checkered clad fans taking over the entire Aurora based campus, beginning in 2008. In those days, the only way to get the deals was to come sort through the barns en masse.

When the pandemic hit, the sale moved online in 2020 and 2021, and according to their site, became “accessible to everyone” with the same discounts and even more product. In a YouTube video from last year’s virtual sale, Art Director Lacey Race, said the benefit to having the sale online means they get to reach more customers instead of just those who are fortunate enough to be able to travel to the Finger Lakes.

With that said, for the third year in a row, the Barn Sale will take place online only. All sales are first come, first serve and are considered final. New product will be added to the online Barn Sale throughout the event as it continues.

Online Barn Sale purchases will be shipped from the warehouse. Customers cannot pick up their purchases from the MacKenzie-Childs campus in Aurora, NY.

While no announcements have been made for a return of the in-person Barn Sale, MacKenzie-Childs’ first in-person warehouse sale since 2019 took place in June of this year. The Union Springs site opened its doors to customers, offering deep discounts on “as-is” products, overstock inventory and quality seconds like furniture, rugs, seasonal products, enamelware, and more.

MacKenzie-Childs’ fans can still visit the Outlet store on the Aurora campus and as of now, the next event there will be the fall Artisan Craft Festival from Sept. 30 - Oct. 2.
