Christian Brothers Academy bowler Eliana Occhino finished fifth overall out of 258 bowlers in the United States Bowling Council National High School Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, over the weekend.
“The high school nationals was a very exciting experience,” said Occhino. “It was a really competitive environment. The tournament was huge and I competed against hundreds of bowlers. Everyone was cheering, so it was very different than other tournaments. Right from the start, there were a lot of high scores, so I had to remind myself to be patient.”
