Man stabbed multiple times by three men ‘jumping’ him on North Side, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man was stabbed multiple times by three men robbing him on North Side on Thursday, Syracuse police said.

The 33-year-old man told police he was “jumped” by three men at 801 Butternut St. said Sgt. Thomas Blake, a spokesperson for the Syracuse police.

The police were called at 2:03 a.m., Blake said.

He was stabbed in the back and sides multiple times, he said. An ambulance took the man to Upstate University Hospital where he is in stable condition, he said.

The man’s wallet and phone were taken by the robbers, he said.
