Syracuse, N.Y. – Central New York, for weeks the hottest Covid-19 spot in New York, now shows signs of falling case numbers even as the rest of the state increases.
The number of deaths rose sharply in the past 10 days, however, a grim reminder that the worst consequences of Covid can often occur weeks after someone is infected.
