Syracuse, N.Y. – Last week at some point, Jackson Birtwistle learned he would be in the starting lineup when Syracuse met Virginia this weekend in the Carrier Dome.
Birtwistle, a redshirt freshman from Radnor, Pennsylvania, did not play at all in seven of SU’s first nine games. He saw action in the Orange men’s loss at Albany. And in Syracuse’s next two games, he managed to score five goals.
