New York State’s biggest gun show takes place this weekend at the State Fairgrounds’ Empire Expo Center. Hosted by the New York State Arms Collectors Association, the Syracuse Gun show boasts 1,000 exhibits and displays from gun collectors and dealers all over the United States.

Hours are Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

General admission is $8.00 ($6.00 for seniors). Children under 12 are free with a paying adult. There is no military discount.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Pistol License Unit will be on hand to answer questions about pistol license applications, and will be processing amendments to acquire/dispose handguns for Onondaga County issued Pistol License holders. Onondaga County Pistol License holders who still maintain a paper license, or have a blue overlay plastic card, will not be able to process amendments at the event.

Gun show display and sales tables feature a wide range of collectible firearms, including:

  • U.S. military arms
  • Colt revolvers
  • high-grade double barreled shotguns
  • Remingtons, Smith & Wesson, Sharps, Springfields, Winchesters
  • muskets
  • Kentucky rifles
  • gun parts and accessories
  • frontier and western paraphernalia
  • swords, bowie knives, bayonets, custom knives
  • targets, optics, powder horns, ammo, books, art
  • Pre-Revolutionary War military relics and equipment

Most items are for sale on a cash basis. Expect to haggle and barter for the best deal.

“We encourage the public to bring in old and unwanted guns and military items which will be gladly purchased by our collectors who will pay top prices,” the New York State Arms Collectors Association said in a press release.
