Hotel in Onondaga County’s eastern suburbs to be converted to specialized housing

DeWitt, N.Y. – A hotel in the busy Carrier Circle area of DeWitt is slated to be converted into housing for homeless veterans, town officials said.

The Magnuson Hotel at 6590 Thompson Road in DeWitt, next to Joey’s Restaurant, is slated to be turned into transitional housing for veterans who need housing because of substance abuse, mental health issues or other circumstances, officials said. The housing is provided while they stabilize their personal situations.
