Something clicked for the Buffalo Bills in the second half of their matchup this season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Trailing 24-3 at halftime, Buffalo would turn the tables on Tampa Bay and outscore them 24-3 in the second half to force overtime. The Bills would fall short in overtime, but from that point on Buffalo was a different team.

Buffalo would go on to win their final four games in the regular season to claim the AFC East for the second straight year. Their end of season momentum carried over to Wild Card Weekend where the Bills routed the New England Patriots 47-17.

One player who watched Buffalo destroy New England was Tom Brady. The former Patriots and current Buccaneers QB spoke about the team’s performance on his “Let’s Go!” podcast with Jim Gray.

“Playing in Buffalo, I know how tough it is to play up there,” said Brady. Myself, personally, playing up there found success-- obviously--but at the same time they were always challenging games and when those guys get going, man, it’s tough. The way that Josh Allen was playing that night... I know I saw that first touchdown pass where he was on the sideline and then after the game he said, ‘I was actually trying to throw that away.’ From a quarterback standpoint when that happens you’re like man, things are going your way that day. You think you’re throwing a ball out of the back of the end zone to conserve a field goal, next thing you know your tight end is catching in the end zone for a big way to start the game. It was one of those nights where Buffalo’s offense was almost impossible to stop.”

That wasn’t all that Brady had to say about Josh Allen. Brady showed Allen great respect noting his spectacular play in the elements.

“Josh Allen played spectacular football in zero-degree weather and was throwing the football extremely well,” Brady added. “They have a lot of talented skill players. Buffalo was pretty unstoppable that night.”

Buffalo still has a long way to go to reach Super Bowl LVI, but the team that got back on track against Tampa Bay would probably love nothing more than to get another crack at beating Brady and the Buccaneers on the biggest stage of them all.
