Syracuse, NY -- A Lysander man who says he fatally shot his neighbor in self-defense last year may be going to prison anyway.

That’s because prosecutors say that William Kratz had no license to carry a handgun at the time of the Feb. 22, 2021 shooting on Cold Springs Road that left William Delany dead. A grand jury cleared Kratz of a homicide in the dispute between neighbors, but indicted him for having a gun.
