Update: 1 dead, 3 injured in multi-vehicle crash in Oswego County
Volney, N.Y. — State police say they are investigating a fatal crash Monday on county Route 6 in Volney.
At 4:04 p.m., Oswego County 911 dispatchers received calls reporting a three-vehicle crash on Route 6, just south of Weller Road.
Volney volunteer firefighters, Fulton city firefighters, Menter Ambulance, state police, Oswego County sheriff’s deputies and the Oswego County Fire Coordinator’s Office responded, according to 911.
State police confirmed it was a fatal crash, but spokesman Trooper Jack Keller said he was not sure how many people were injured or killed in the crash. He expects to release more information later Monday.
Part of Route 6 near the crash scene is closed, dispatchers said.
