Syracuse, N.Y. — A 28-year-old woman was shot in the leg while driving on Interstate 690 Saturday afternoon, Syracuse police said.

The woman told police she was shot at about 1:28 p.m. while driving on the highway near the Teall Avenue exit, police said. Police met the woman in the 1000 block of Canal Street, police said

The woman was taken to Upstate University Hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call (315) 442-5222.
