Syracuse, N.Y. – Just before Thanksgiving last year, Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations began a surge in Central New York that didn’t let up until nearly Valentine’s Day.

This year, we’re approaching the holiday period with even more Covid-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths than one year ago. That portends a long, difficult winter, perhaps as bad in some ways as last year, experts say.
