Woman shot in both legs on Syracuse’s North Side, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old woman was shot in both legs early Sunday morning on the city’s North Side, according to Syracuse police.

The shooting occurred near 807 Oak St. around 2:23 a.m., said Lt. James Milana, a spokesman for the Syracuse police.

The woman was taken to Upstate University Hospital. Her injuries are not life threatening, he said.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact the the department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 315-442-5222.
