Pedestrian hit by car in Cicero dies; road reopens, deputies say

Cicero, N.Y. — A man died when he was hit by a car Saturday evening in Cicero, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The driver was not injured, they said.

The driver is cooperating with the investigation of the accident that happened at about 6:30 p.m., deputies said.

Deputies shut down part of Brewerton Road between Caughdenoy Road and the entrance to Target and Walmart. Brewerton Road is now reopened, deputies said.

The investigation is ongoing, they said.
