Syracuse, N.Y. -- The ACC revealed its men’s basketball preseason projections Tuesday morning and as expected Buddy Boeheim was among the players selected for All-ACC honors.

The Syracuse senior guard was named to the league’s first team. He got the most votes of anybody on that list. The entire first team and second team with number of votes:

First team

Buddy Boeheim, Syracuse, 68

Keve Aluma, Virginia Tech, 52

Paolo Banchero, Duke, 49

Armando Bacot, North Carolina, 46

Isaiah Wong, Miami, 37

Second team

Michael Devoe, Georgia Tech, 25

Kihei Clark, Virginia, 23

Prentiss Hubb, Notre Dame, 17

Mark Williams, Duke, 12

Wendell Moore, Jr., Duke, 9

Caleb Love, North Carolina, 9

Malik Williams, Louisville, 9

Banchero, the Duke freshman, is the preseason player of the year and preseason freshman of the year. He’s the first ACC player to achieve both preseason designations in the same season.

Boeheim finished third in the preseason player of the year voting, behind Banchero and Aluma. SU’s Benny Williams received one vote for preseason freshman of the year.

Boeheim finished third in the conference in scoring last season at 17.76 points per game. The two players who scored more points are no longer in the league (Matthew Hurt, Justin Champagnie). He finished second in 3-point shooting percentage (.383) and first in number of threes made per game (3.08).

Syracuse, as a team, was picked to finish seventh in the conference. The Orange, which will hold its media day Friday followed by an intrasquad scrimmage in the Carrier Dome, returns its starting backcourt of a year ago, but will look decidedly different at every other position.

The voting was done by ACC media members.

The predicted order of finish:

1) Duke

2) Florida State

3) North Carolina

4) Virginia

5) Virginia Tech

6) Louisville

7) Syracuse

8) Notre Dame

9) NC State

10) Georgia Tech

11) Clemson

12) Miami

13) Wake Forest

14) Pitt

15) Boston College
