Autumn colors are heading toward peak display for parts of Central New York this week, especially Oswego County. We visited Pulaski and Salmon River Falls and found a spectacular mix of reds, yellows and orange.
The weather was unusually moist this year, with a lingering summer that delayed leaves from changing by several weeks. But momentum has kicked autumn into full gear, and the leaves are changing fast.
The 112-acre park is beautiful in winter as well. Ice-climbing is just one of the popular activities, although you do have to be a registered climber. Seeing the falls frozen over is spectacular.
