The Onondaga County Legislature on Friday used its budget powers to slow down County Executive Ryan McMahon’s proposal to build an $85 million aquarium and a $25 million sports complex.

In a rare bipartisan voice, leaders of both parties in the 17-member legislature said they need more than two weeks to digest the idea and present it to the public before voting.
