In surprising turn, GOP leader calls current Onondaga County district boundaries a mistake

Onondaga County Legislature Chairman David Knapp, R-LaFayette, said Friday that it was a mistake 10 years ago to draw legislative districts that combined rural and urban areas and he hopes that will be changed this time around.

Knapp is one of six members of the commission tasked with drawing new district lines to match population changes from the 2020 census.
