Cazenovia boys soccer holds off Westhill, 2-1 (51 photos)

After starting the fall season with eight wins in 11 tries, the Cazenovia boys soccer team entered Thursday night’s home game against Westhill mired in a season-long three-game losing streak. Backed by one goal and one assist from Daniel Millson, the Lakers both halted the skid and avenged last week’s loss to the Warriors with a 2-1 victory.

Cazenovia fell to Westhill 3-1 on the road on Saturday but this time jumped out in front with a first-half score and tallied what would end up being a needed insurance goal in the second stanza. Daniel Carkner put in the lone Warriors goal off an assist from Owen Etoll with approximately 10 minutes left in regulation.
