Charlotte, N.C. – Bourama Sidibe felt the first twinge in his knee during the preseason last year.

He believed, he said, that a bone bruise was responsible for the pain he experienced. He kept practicing, kept working out with his teammates. Covid complicated his ability to see a doctor, he said, to truly learn the root cause of his discomfort.
