To say that the Buffalo Bills have had the Miami Dolphins’ number as of late would be an understatement.

Following the Bills’ 35-0 blowout win on Sunday, Buffalo has found themselves on the winning side of things in six straight matchups and eight of the last nine games. It would have been a perfect 9-of-9 had Charles Clay not dropped a Josh Allen touchdown pass in the end zone in 2018. Going back to 2013, the Bills have won 13-of-17 matchups between the teams.

The Bills’ dominance over Miami on Sunday and as of late had one Dolphins legend at a loss of words post-game. Former Dolphins fullback Larry Csonka took to Twitter following the Week 2 loss to vent his frustrations.

Csonka won two Super Bowls during his time with the Dolphins (1968-1974) and was part of a team that regularly defeated the Bills. During his stint in Miami, the Dolphins only lost once to Buffalo. Csonka would go on to add that the locker room would have been a nightmare following Sunday’s loss if it were coached by Don Shula.

“Wouldn’t want to be in that locker room if this was a Shula coached team,” said Csonka. “He’d have plenty to say….and it’d be LOUD!”

Although he’s known for his time with the Dolphins, Csonka has ties to Upstate New York. Csonka was a star at Syracuse University. He broke several records with the Orange and recorded 2,934 rushing yards in three seasons on the offensive side of the ball.

Csonka would go on to be the Dolphins’ first round pick in the 1968 NFL Draft. He had his number retired by both Syracuse and Miami and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
