Syracuse, N.Y. — Someone forgot to bring the sword for John Wildhack to fall on.

The Syracuse University athletic director passed the buck on why an “unhealthy culture” in the women’s basketball program, as described by an independent report released on Friday, was allowed to fester under Wildhack’s nose for years, supposedly without a sniff.
