Syracuse, N.Y. – Some of Central New York’s most prominent restaurateurs on Tuesday told U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s office they are struggling because they were left out of a $29 billion stimulus program that benefited only about one-third of the restaurants it was intended to help.

The owners of Scotch ‘N Sirloin, Joey’s Italian Restaurant and 16 other restaurants and bars urged Schumer’s staff during a conference call to push hard for another $60 billion so that the Restaurant Revitalization Fund can help all the businesses that qualified.
