Syracuse, N.Y. -- A very special lefty will take the mound to open the Syracuse Mets’ game against Rochester on Tuesday night at NBT Bank Stadium.

Syracuse University football coach Dino Babers will toss out the ceremonial first pitch at the contest, which is scheduled to start at 6:35 p.m.

The appearance is part of the Syracuse University Athletics Night at the stadium. SU’s marketing and sales departments will have a table in the concourse that will include giveaways and prizes, plus information on Otto’s Kids Club and season tickets.
