Tim Locastro will get a chance to shake off his slow start this season on one of the biggest stages in major league baseball.

The outfielder from Auburn was traded from Arizona to the New York Yankees in exchange for Double-A pitcher Keegan Curtis. Locastro, who turns 29 in two weeks, was hitting just .178 for the Diamondbacks this season.

Locastro is one of the fastest players in the game with 21 stolen bases the past two years. In 2020, he hit .290 for the Diamondbacks.

Locastro has played in 200 major league games in five seasons with the Dodgers and Diamondbacks, hitting .234 with 31 steals. He also has a knack of getting hit by pitches, with 36 such plunks in his career.
