How much prison for Rye Day murder suspects who didn’t actually kill anyone? DA offers clue

Syracuse, NY — A year after the infamous shootout at Rye Day left one man dead, eight accused shooters are starting to hear proposed plea deals from the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office.

One accused shooter, Quintell Stepney, appeared to reject an eight-year prison sentence offered Thursday by the prosecutor on an illegal weapons charge. Stepney wanted five years.
