New concerts announced in Upstate NY: Darius Rucker, Goo Goo Dolls, Brett Eldredge

More new concerts have been announced in Upstate New York as live music continues to make a comeback from the coronavirus pandemic.

Darius Rucker will perform at CMAC (Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center) in Canandaigua on Aug. 29. Special guests Niko Moon and Tyler Booth will open the show at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Rucker, known for his solo country career and his work with Hootie & The Blowfish, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. All attendees must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

The Goo Goo Dolls have rescheduled their tour dates for a third time, now performing at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs on Aug. 19, 2022, with special guest Blue October.

A Goo Goo Dolls concert at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview in Syracuse, originally scheduled for 2020 and then pushed to 2021, now appears to be canceled altogether.

Country singer Brett Eldredge will hit Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo on Oct. 22 and the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center in Verona on Nov. 6. “Kiss Somebody” singer Morgan Evans will open both shows

Tickets for the Turning Stone show go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, June 18, at 10 a.m. Presale tickets will be available to TS Rewards Members on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will visit the Artpark Amphitheater in Lewiston on Sunday, Aug. 22. The Dropkick Murphys are also scheduled to play a free show at the New York State Fair on Aug. 29.

Dark Star Orchestra will perform a tribute to the Grateful Dead at Apple Valley Park in LaFayette on July 31 and Aug. 1, 2021. Tickets, sold in “pods” for 2, 4 or 6 people, are on sale through applevalleypark.com.

Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness will play Empire Live in Albany, the new home of the Upstate Concert Hall (previously located in Clifton Park), on Oct. 27, 2021. Tickets for McMahon, known for his work with Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin, go on sale Friday.
