Construction is beginning this week on new apartment buildings on Plank Road in North Syracuse.

The two apartment buildings, at 444 S. Main St., are next to Vince’s Gourmet Imports. There will be 48 units, including one- and two-bedroom apartments, said Brandon Jacobson of locally based Brolex Properties.
