Syracuse, N.Y. -- Doug Rowe is already well into the pregaming portion of his retirement from coaching high school girls lacrosse.

He’s tending to yardwork at his Baldwinsville home and pounding out picnic tables and benches for his son-in-law’s business. Lacrosse is still part of the routine, for now. Rowe spends much of his mornings drawing up practice plans for his Rome Free Academy, where he has coached since 2017.
