Syracuse, N.Y. – If you’re sick and looking for a Covid-19 test in Onondaga County, head over to Upstate Community Hospital or the state fairgrounds, not the F Shed.

Cayuga Health System no longer provides symptomatic coronavirus testing at the CNY Regional Market F Shed, said John Turner of Cayuga Health. County officials determined they no longer needed that test site, Turner said.

County officials did not immediately respond to a request for information.

Tests are available weekdays at Upstate Community Hospital at 4900 Broad Road, Syracuse. Tests are administered in the Physician Office Building South, Suite 1K.

Testing is available 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

No appointment is necessary. Patients should enter the hospital to sign in and then return to their cars to safely register and speak to a nurse by phone. Once individuals are registered and the nurse assessment is complete, they return to the suite for the test. Walk-ins are welcome.

Also, weekend and weekday testing is still available by appointment at the New York State Fair horticulture building. The fairgrounds test site is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

To schedule a test at the fairgrounds, go to mychart.upstate.edu or call 315-464-2778, press 0 and follow the prompts.
