3 water main breaks force all-day shut off of water in parts of Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. — Three water main breaks have forced emergency water shutoffs in parts of Syracuse, city officials announced today.

The breaks are in the:

  • 500 block of Hiawatha Boulevard
  • 700 block of Erie Boulevard West
  • 100 block of Vann Street.

Each area where work is being done will experience water shut offs until approximately 7 p.m.

Residents and businesses in need of emergency water can call 211, city officials said.

Water crews will close the following streets while they make repairs

  • Hiawatha Boulevard, from 2nd North Street to Spring Street.
  • Erie Boulevard West, from North Geddes Street to Leavenworth Avenue.
  • Vann Street, from Teall Avenue to Dillaye Avenue.
