Former Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Tony Siragusa has died at the age of 55, TMZ reported on Wednesday afternoon.

Informed by his former Raven teammate Jamal Lewis, TMZ says the cause of death of the Super Bowl XXXC champion is not yet known.

Born in Kenilworth, New Jersey, Siragusa played collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh from 1985-1989 before entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 1990.

At 6-foot-3, 340 pounds, Siragusa played with the Colts from 1990 to 1996 before joining the Ravens in 1997, and played in Baltimore til 2001.

Nicknamed “Goose,” he finished his career with 562 tackles and 22 sacks, before joining NFL on FOX, where he did sideline reporting and analysis until 2015. He also had a brief film career, appearing in the Spike Lee film The 25th Hour.

Colts owner Jim Irsay reacted to the news on Twitter, writing, “The Goose, Tony Siragusa has passed away at 55... I’m heartbroken as is all of Colts Nation.”

The news of Siragusa’s passing comes in the wake of the death of Ravens defensive end Jaylon Ferguson, whose passing was announced Wednesday morning.
