Hammer-assault suspect from central Pa. arrested in Puerto Rico

An Adams County man accused of beating a woman and a child with a hammer last year has been apprehended in Puerto Rico.

State police issued an arrest warrant in September 2020 for Luis Marrero-Beltrán, 38, of York Springs, on charges of aggravated assault in connection with a July 30 incident.

He was considered to be one of Pennsylvania’s most-wanted fugitives, and he was arrested in Cabo Rojo on Friday, NBC 10 is reporting.

He is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
