Salary Range: $68,640 - $88,545 DOQ
Position is responsible for performing professional work in planning, budgeting, organizing, and directing municipal public services operations including Managing the Utilities Engineering Projects for Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Water and Wastewater plant construction projects. Performs advanced engineering requiring the exercise of independent judgment in a variety of assignments for the City as well as ensures review and approval of residential, commercial and industrial development plans. Makes recommendations and conducts studies as necessary in conjunction with the public services departmental projects. Work is performed as Assistant Director under the general direction of the Utility Director and requires independent judgment and initiative.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with degree in civil engineering (Masters Degree preferred). Holder of P.E. license in state of Florida or ability to obtain within 1 year. 5 – 10 years of experience in the administration and design of water, wastewater, right-of-way utilization and construction management. Valid Florida driver’s license. Complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within 6 months of completion of probationary period.
