City & Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board: Questionnaire for Board's Strategy 2020 -2025
Who are the City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board?
The City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board is made up of local organisations and services working together to make sure adults are not at risk of abuse and neglect. Hackney Council, City of London Corporation, the Police, health services and voluntary sector go to this board. The Board helps make sure that City and Hackney organisations are protecting and supporting people who have experienced abuse or neglect.
An adult with care and support needs is someone who may need extra help in managing their day-to-day lives and being independent. People with care and support need can include someone who has a learning disability, is frail, has mental health needs or has a physical disability.
Abuse or neglect can include, physical, financial, mate crime or failing to act to protect someone.
The City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board Strategy
By law, the Safeguarding Adults Board has to develop a Strategy telling people what we are going to do to help protect and support adults who are at risk of abuse of neglect. To do this, we want to understand what the people that live and work in the City and Hackney want us to do protect the community. By filling in the questionnaire you will have the opportunity to shape the work we do in the future, therefore helping to keep your friends, family and wider community safe.
