HHC Membership

The Health Humanities Consortium is a registered 501(3)c non-profit organization.

Dues will support the hosting institution for spring conferences; conference registration for students; and awards for student conference presentation.

Membership confers a discount on annual conference registration that will be determined annually by the hosting institution. 

Individual Membership

  • Pays annual dues based on income level (see below)
  • Members get a reduced registration rate for the annual meeting
  • Receive reduced on-line subscription rate for Journal of Medical Humanities** 
  • Subscription to Journal of Humanities in Rehabilitation (sign up here)
  • Invitation to attend annual general membership business meeting
  • Members have voting rights on issues presented before the membership
  • Members can serve on the Steering Committee and Working Groups

Institutional Membership

  • Pays annual (from time of joining) dues of $1000 (or $2000 for two-year membership)
  • Institutional memberships include up to 10 individual memberships (which includes all benefits listed under individual membership)
  • 2 complimentary conference registrations (we encourage institutions to use one for a student)
  • Partners are listed as such on the HHC website

Student/Trainee Membership

  • Pays annual (from time of joining) dues of $25
  • Student members get a significantly reduced registration rate for the annual meeting
  • Receive reduced on-line subscription rate for Journal of Medical Humanities** 
  • Subscription to Journal of Humanities in Rehabilitation (sign up here)
  • Invitation to attend annual general membership business meeting
  • Members have voting rights on issues presented before the membership
  • Members can serve on the Steering Committee and Working Groups
