Season: Strong sophomore season that led to All-Big Ten Honorable Mention laurels as she averaged 13.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game…Tallied 15 double-digit scoring efforts and six 20-plus point games…Started all 24 games.
Coppin State (11/25): Notched 12 points and seven assists in sophomore season debut. Rhode Island (12/3): Hit the game-winning, buzzer-beating layup to cap a 17-point, six-assist and five-rebound effort. at Syracuse (12/6): Narrowly missed a triple-double with nine points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Purdue (12/20): Scored 26 points behind 12 made field goals in Big Ten opener. at Ohio State (1/4): Narrowly missed a double-double with a team-best 21 points and nine rebounds. Minnesota (1/25): Finished with 25 points behind 10 made field goals. at Illinois (1/28): Notched her second-straight 20-point game with a team-best 24 points while adding six rebounds and four assists and shooting 56.3 percent from the field. Nebraska (2/4): Finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Wisconsin (2/7): Contributed 20 points and six assists. at Iowa (2/18): Set new Big Ten personal-bests with 10 rebounds and eight assists. at Nebraska (2/21): Notched sixth 20-point game of the season with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Ohio State (2/24): Hit what proved to be the game-winning layup to cement Penn State’s upset over a top 15 team while stuffing the stat sheet with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
2019-20 FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Strong freshman season, making 29 starts and appearing in all 30 games…Finished with 9.2 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per contest and 2.2 assists per game…Tallied 14 double-digit efforts.
at Towson (11/5): Earned the start in her first collegiate game, finishing with a team-best 15 points, all of which came in the second half as Penn State rallied for a comeback win…Added four steals and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Rider (11/10): Tallied 13 points and four rebounds. Fordham (11/13): Dished out a team-best five assists. Clemson (11/21): Handed out a career-best six assists while adding six points, three rebounds and three steals. George Mason (11/24): Drained four 3-pointers en route to 14 points while adding six rebounds. vs. Long Beach State (11/29): Scored 16 points while adding four rebounds and two assists. Sacred Heart (12/22): Finished with 13 points, four assists and three steals. Minnesota (12/28): Tallied 12 points, six rebounds and two assists in Big Ten debut. at Northwestern (1/19): Scored 17 points while adding five rebounds and five assists. Full name is Makenna Marisa…Daughter of Kameron and Donna Marisa…Has two older brothers, both of whom currently attend Penn State, and one twin sister…Mother, Donna, played basketball and softball at Penn State Behrend…Grandfather, Rudy, was a member of Penn State's 1954 NCAA Final Four men's basketball team…Major is Elementary Education.
