Before arriving at the venue to access the event, here are some tips to help expedite your game day entry:
- Access your tickets through the Penn State Athletics app or your Penn State Student Account Manager account at least 24 hours prior to the event.
- Add your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
- iPhone users: Make sure you have a passcode enabled on your device. This allows you to utilize the NFC ticket in Apple Wallet.
- Make sure your phone is fully charged.
- Have your ticket out and ready to be scanned before entering the venue.
- Screenshots & printed copies of SafeTix barcodes are invalid for entry.
Don’t let your game day experience end at the gate! Below are some helpful hints to protect you and your tickets:
- Cover the barcodes
- Prevent ticket fraud by covering your SafeTix barcodes when sharing pictures of your tickets on social media!
- Screenshots & printed copies of SafeTix barcodes are invalid for entry.
What is mobile ticketing?
Mobile ticketing allows you to use your mobile device as your game ticket. Fans will gain admission into the venue via a unique QR code which will be scanned directly from your mobile device. For the easiest entry into the venue, fans should download the Penn State Athletics app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android.)
Why is Penn State Athletics transitioning to mobile ticketing?
Mobile ticketing increases the security of the ticket buying and event entry process. Mobile ticketing also provides:
- Reduced risk of lost, stolen or counterfeit tickets
- Quick and easy entry into the venue
- The ability to manage, transfer or sell your tickets at any time directly from your mobile device
What if my guest(s) and I are arriving to the venue at different times?
Students that wish to sit together must arrive together.
What if I do not have a smartphone, or if my phone battery dies on game day?
A charging station is located outside of Gate A at Beaver Stadium. Additionally, the Resolution booth at Gate A will be open to assist students.
Do I need the Penn State Athletics app to manage and view my tickets?
While it is not required, we highly recommend downloading the app for the easiest and most convenient ticket management. Student tickets can also be viewed by logging into Student Account Manager on a mobile device. International students unable to download the official Penn State Athletics app must manage their tickets through mobile Student Account Manager.
I purchased my ticket via ticketmaster.com – can I still view my ticket through the Penn State Athletics app?
Student tickets purchased via ticketmaster.com are added to your Penn State Athletics Student Account Manager. To access your ticket, log into Student Account Manager through the Penn State Athletics app.
