2023 • JUNIOR SEASON  
Awards:
 Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
 
Season: Appeared in 29 games and started 18…Tallied 10 hits and scored six runs on the year in 52 at-bats…Played predominately on the left side of the infield.
 
vs. Bethune Cookman (2/18): Went 1-for-3 in the batter’s box and finished the game with a season-high seven assists in the field. vs. Kent State (2/24): Was 1-for-3 in the game, scoring a season-best two runs in the process. vs. Boston University (2/26): Tallied her only multi-hit game of the season against the Terriers, going 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and walk drawn. vs. FGCU (3/9): Finished the game with a season-high three putouts defensively. at South Florida (3/9): Recorded a two-RBI single that tied the game in the top of the sixth, paving the way for PSU’s eventual 3-2 win. vs. FGCU (3/11): Swiped her only stolen base of the 2023 campaign. at Purdue (5/6): Entered the game as a pinch hitter and recorded a single in her at-bat.
 
2022 • SOPHOMORE SEASON  
Awards:
 Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
 
Season: Started in all 54 games for the Nittany Lions...Tied for third highest hit total on the squad (37) …Increased her power numbers with a career high five doubles and .288 slugging percentage. 
 
vs. Akron (2/13): Went 1-for-2 with a run scored and her first career double in a 3-2 win. vs. FIU (2/18): A spectacular four RBI Day, collected three hits, and scored. UNCG (3/5): Recorded a double and an RBI. vs. Pittsburgh (3/16): Perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, two hits including a double, with two RBIs and scored twice. vs. Maryland (3/24): Recorded two hits and an RBI. vs. Purdue (4/3): Had two hits and 2 RBI. 
 
2021 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Made 15 appearances with 11 starts, primarily at shortstop to start the season...Totaled four hits...Scored four runs.

vs. Wisconsin (2/26): Made collegiate debut with starts at shortstop in both games of season-opener doubleheader...Recorded first career hit and scored first run in game two. vs. Northwestern (2/28): Scored one run...Drew one walk. vs. Iowa (3/11): Started streak of three-straight games with a hit...Scored lone run in game one of doubleheader. Rutgers (4/10): Started game at third base...Scored eventual game-winning run in Nittany Lions’ sixth-inning comeback.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a three-year letterwinner at Centennial High School in Ellicott City, Maryland, from 2017 to 2019… Set six school records and one state record as freshman in 2017… Held a .703 batting average as a freshman… Named to Baltimore Sun first team in 2017… Picked up First Team All-County accolades in each of her three high school seasons… Earned a Minds in Motion certificate in all three of her high school seasons… Was unable to participate in the spring 2020 season due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic... Represented multiple club organizations over the course of her youth career, concluding her travel ball experience with Gold Coast Hurricanes MD under coach Kenny Magersupp over the course of her senior year in high school.

PERSONAL
A native of Torrance, California, Lauren Marcotte is the eldest daughter of Michael Marcotte and Sandra Orellana-Marcotte... She has one younger sister, name Leanne, who is two years her junior... Marcotte is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the Penn State College of Health and Human Development and expects to graduate from PSU in the spring of 2024... With her degree, she hopes to begin a career as a physical therapist... In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.
