In this session, Susie Parker-Simmons, Head of Sports Nutrition at the Milwaukee Bucks and Mike Naylor, Head of Performance Nutrition, English Institute of Sport will share their knowledge and expertise alongside James Morton, Director of Performance Solutions at Science in Sport and Professor of Exercise Metabolism at Liverpool John Moores University. We'll be exploring how to develop and correctly implement nutritional programmes for your athletes and share case studies of how this has been done to have a positive impact on the whole organisation.
Susie Parker-Simmons is an Australian Sport Dietitian and Physiologist with a 25-year history of working in elite sport. Susie has worked at seven Olympic Games, including both summer and winter Olympic Games, a Paralympic Games and now she had added a NBA Championship. Since 2005, Susie has also worked as the Sports Nutrition Consultant for the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and currently she is the Past President of the PINES - Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport. Susie's present role is Head of Sports Nutrition with the Milwaukee Bucks, a NBA Basketball team.
Mike is currently the Head of Nutrition for the English Institute of Sport where he works with over 20 nutritionists providing support to 20 of Team GB's Olympic and Paralympic sports. He was the lead nutritionist for Team GB at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Michael provided nutrition support to England Rugby for over 7 years working with both the Senior Men and Women teams. In football, Michael was the performance nutritionist at Southampton FC for 6 seasons and now works with the England Football Senior men's team and was part of the support team that travelled to the 2018 World Cup and 2020 European Championships.
