🌟 Celebrating 25 Years of Transformation! 🌟 Meet DeMarre R., a dedicated advocate and public health analyst at the D.C. Department of Health for the (Child, Adolescent and School Health Division). DeMarre's journey with us began as a high-school senior when he was awarded a four-year scholarship through the KFC Colonel’s Scholars program to attend North Carolina Central University. Faced with financial challenges after losing his mother to lung cancer, we were privileged to be able to support DeMarre's undergraduate journey, empowering him to realize his dream of making a positive impact on others. Today, DeMarre is pursuing a Doctorate of Public Health (DrPH) from Morgan State University School of Community Health and Policy, with plans to work for the federal government and open a community-based center focused on maternal health and harm reduction. His story embodies the transformative impact of the KFC Foundation over its 25 years, and we couldn't be prouder of his accomplishments. DeMarre is the first of several KFC Colonel’s Scholars stories that we'll share with you, as these scholars are truly exceptional. The program was active from 2006 to 2012, awarding a total of 500 four-year external scholarships, amounting to $12.5 million in support. Stay tuned for more inspiring stories as we celebrate 25 years of changing lives together! ✨🎉 #KFCFoundation25 #FriesChangeLives #RoundUpChangesLives
