Welcome to the UConn RaMP on Genomic Novelty

UConn RaMP is the yearlong Research Training Program for recent graduates with a primary focus on first generation college students, individuals from groups underrepresented in STEM, and students at institutions with limited resources. Our mission is to equip scholars with a comprehensive skill set that encompasses both research and professional skills, in preparation for successful careers in STEM. No prior laboratory experience is necessary; all that's required is a strong passion for learning and a solid work ethic.

Our program offers a unique blend of structured cohort-based learning and individualized research experiences. Through this approach, we strive to create a collaborative environment that integrates scholars, dedicated research mentors, and a network of partners. Together, we form a research community devoted to the exploration of genomic novelty and its impact on phenotype.

Applications to be apart of the 2024 cohort are currently under review. Applicants can expect an initial response late March/early April. The 2025 application will open late October 2024.
