We want to ensure every child has access to a high-quality education, with appropriate grade-level texts, a library budding with books, and a safe classroom with teachers helping them resist pressure to drop out for work or marriage. We're creating world change that helps historically low-income communities break the cycle of poverty by improving literacy rates and ensuring students get one step closer to graduation day and the lives they choose for themselves.

More than 773 million adults - two-thirds of whom are women - still lack basic reading and writing skills. You have the power to change that. My group of amazing trekkers and I are trekking Mt.Kilimanjaro in Jan 2023 and we are fundraising for Room to Read because I believe that world change starts with educated children.
Room to Read envisions a world in which all children and girls can pursue a quality education that enables them to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities and the world.
By focusing on literacy and gender equality in education, Room to Read transforms the lives of millions of girls in low-income communities. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, they help primary school children develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
