A Return to the Top of the World

Update: 06/24/21
The announcement that PAX West 2021 is a go and the words “Welcome Home” greeting us on the PAX West website was enough to make our eyes tear up. It’s been so long! PAX officials are working closely with health officials to bring a safe convention this coming September, and in between that all, we’re going to have our own homecoming at the Columbia Tower. We’ll be able to see you again, play with you again, and game for good again. It feels great to think about it! We are only starting the process to gear up for a triumphant return, but know that it is in the works and know that our key priority is still the health and well-being of everyone attending. Whether that means a scaled down event, other precautions being taken at the door, and so forth, is something we’ll be ironing out and sharing soon. Keep your eyes here and on our socials for updates. In any case, we are very excited to see you on the 76th floor again. Welcome home, indeed.

Postponement Update: 03/01/2021
Emerald City Comic Con rescheduled their 2021 dates for the first weekend in December, giving them a long cushion of time for the situation to settle. PAX is still hopeful for later this year, with tentative dates being Sept 3-6, 2021. If it is feasible to do so from a public health perspective, our next event will be for this PAX 2021. Thank you again so much for your patience and understanding as we navigate this ever-changing situation. We'll try and do something special for those of you who have held tickets for this event since January 2020. Take care and practice the 3 W's: wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance. Can't wait to see you again. We miss you and gaming and normalcy in general, terribly.

In light of the endemic coronavirus (COVID-19) affecting local communities and in keeping with posted general guidance from health authorities, we have decided to postpone our Fifth Annual Night of Gaming for Good on Top of the World, ECCC Edition that was set to take place on March 13, 2020. As of now, our next event is looking to be during PAX West Weekend in September 2021, with the caveat that it is safe to do so. We will be rolling all current ticket holders to this new rescheduled event.

If you have already purchased tickets for the original March event, your ticket will be honored for the rescheduled event and no further action is needed. If you wish to receive a refund, we need to know by September 15, 2020: please click the link below for more details.

In the meantime, please be safe out there. We encourage the daily practice of everyday preventive actions and limiting potential exposure to the virus, which was the driving consideration of our decision to postpone. The safety and well-being of our wonderful gaming community is our top priority.

For more details and a note from our FTW Events president, please see this page.

Be well, be safe, be healthy, and we'll see you in September!

Love,
The FTW Events Team

Come for the Cause
There are a number of reasons to attend, but chief among them is that we'll be gaming for good. Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Uncompensated Care program eases the financial burden on vulnerable families whose kids are in need of care, allowing parents to focus on the most important thing: their child’s health.  Over 60% of families at Seattle Children’s are in need of financial assistance. Help us ensure that they receive it!

Come for the Games
Play all night from our extensive lending library, with a variety of games to suit many tastes and play styles. You are also welcome to BYOG or purchase something new to play using vouchers to our pop-up game store that come in your SWAG BAG. Or, you could possibly win a new game from our raffle, with thousands of dollars worth of gaming and geeky prizes all generously donated by members of the gaming industry and community!

Come for the Party
This event promises an incredible evening of gaming and fundraising against the amazing backdrop of the Seattle skyline and sunset from 76 floors up. Enjoy a fine dining buffet from the Columbia Tower Club's kitchen and geeky-themed cocktails from the bar. Play and mingle all night with other gamers, game developers, publishers and other industry folk! Our guest of honor for this event is to be announced, so be sure to to check back soon!

General Admission $59+ Limited Early Bird Special $49 (Get Tickets)
Includes a buffet dinner, a SWAG bag, one raffle ticket, 2 $10 vouchers to our pop-up game store and all the games you can play in our lending library! Prices go up for procrastinators, so once the tickets go live, don't wait too long! We’ve also been incredibly blessed by our sponsors’ donations where for every event we’ve had so far in the last four years, we were able to ensure that no one went home empty-handed (in addition to the SWAG Bag), whether it was a game or some geeky merch. While we can’t promise that will happen every time, you can bet that we’ll do our darnedest to make it happen!

VIP ~$210+ (Get Tickets)
Dine in style with our guests of honor. You’ll be served a plated 3-course meal from an exclusive menu in a private dining and gaming room overlooking the city, with other VIP ticket guests and VIP industry guests from the gaming community, including our guests of honor BJ Shea and Vicky Barcelona! The VIP package also includes a premium SWAG bag chock-full of exclusive VIP games and goodies, 2 drink tickets, a golden raffle ticket, 2 $10 vouchers and a $25 gift certificate to our pop-up game store.
