The Young Professional (YP) Panel is held during the YP Workshop on April 5th, the 4th day of the Florida Water Resources Conference. The YP Workshop is held at the Gaylord Hotel in Orlando, Florida from approximately 9am to 3 pm.
The YP panel brings together YPs (and some university students) from various different sectors of the industry and gives insights into their daily activities, struggles and benefits of their sector, and what they have learned in the years at their company or utility. The audience will ask questions to approximately 5 panelists and each will give their perspective. The panel will be approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
An example of some of the questions that will be asked:1. What made you chose your current position and sector?
2. What are the initial tasks/assignments an entry-level employee would experience?
3. What university class do you wish you had taken or recommend?
4. What tips and strategies do you recommend to succeed at your job?
5. What are some red flags in the workplace that you notice?
All panelists will be in-person with no virtual option.
