AFS-USA 2022 Young Volunteer Award Nomination
The AFS-USA Young Volunteer Award recognizes an outstanding young Volunteer, 30 or younger, who has demonstrated commitment and dedication to the AFS-USA organization, has developed creative ideas to expand the AFS-USA mission, and has developed initiatives to expand intercultural education to people outside of AFS-USA.

To avoid duplicate Nominations, please communicate with your team leadership about your intent to nominate.

Please note that this Nomination can be started and then completed at a later date. Just be sure to hit the "Submit" button each time you update your Nomination. You will be able to edit your submission until July 31, 2022.

Send a head and shoulders picture of the Nominee to uasvrc@afs.org. Use a subject line of "Young Volunteer Award 2022 - Picture - last name of Nominee".

Criteria
The following criteria will be used by the judges to determine the 2021 Young Volunteer Award winner.

* Nominee must be a registered AFS-USA Volunteer for the past 2 years
* Nominee should be in compliance with AFS-USA and Department of State guidelines
* Nominee has not previously received the Young Volunteer Award
* Nominee must be 30 years old or younger

NOTE - When describing the candidate, please avoid full names, locations, team name, or any description that would identify your candidate. The reviewing and judging will be completed by your peers and we want to maintain anonymity.



1.  How long has the candidate been an AFS-USA volunteer?
2.  Please describe the Nominee's AFS-USA journey and how it has shaped them and their community.  (400 word max)
3.  Please describe the Nominee's impact in the AFS-USA community and why this Volunteer should receive the AFS-USA Young Volunteer Award. Please give two specific examples. (400 word max)
4.  Please describe the Nominee's creative contributions to advance the AFS-USA Impact Goals (developing active global citizens, globalizing schools and institutions and expanding access to intercultural education) (400 word max)
5.  What current role(s) does this Nominee hold with AFS-USA? (100 word max)
